It is with heavy hearts we inform you of the sudden passing of our friend, colleague and mentor, Diane Smith.

Diane had been with Arlington/Roe for 13 years and was a passionate, vibrant and deeply valued member of the Arlington/Roe family. To say she had an impact on our agents and our associates would be a severe understatement. She brought a wealth of experience and knowledge to Arlington/Roe, drawing from a tenured career in the insurance industry. She was the Sales & Marketing Manager for Northern Indiana before assuming responsibility as the Director of the Francis Roe Center for Professional Growth.

Diane worked alongside Jim Roe to make the Francis Roe Center (FRC) come to life. She was a fierce advocate for education and worked to foster success for both associates and agents through her leadership of the FRC. She also mentored Arlington/Roe’s Business Development Associates and was deeply committed to the future of the insurance industry by investing in and mentoring our young staff members.

Beyond her personal contributions, we will remember her for her passion, vibrancy, and her ability to have a conversation with anyone. She was a trusted colleague and mentor to so many. We are incredibly privileged to have worked alongside her for so many years, and her loss will be felt deeply across all of Arlington/Roe and beyond. Our thoughts and prayers are with Diane’s family during this difficult time.

Please join us in honoring Diane’s life, legacy, and the many ways in which she enriched Arlington/Roe, both professionally and personally.

Rest in peace, Diane, you’ll be sorely missed. We are so grateful for your partnership and mentorship.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Arlington/Roe was recently named one of the 2026 Best Places to Work in Indiana. This marks the 21st edition for the Indiana Chamber of Commerce initiative and the second year in a row that Arlington/Roe has earned this distinction. The company is one of only four insurance agents/brokers in the state to be named.

“We are honored and grateful to receive this distinction,” said President & Chief Operating Officer Andy Roe. “This recognition would not have been possible without our hard-working associates who make Arlington/Roe such a wonderful place to work. We are proud of our company culture, which values honesty, integrity and trust.”

The statewide survey and awards program is designed to evaluate participating organizations and honor those with the highest levels of employee satisfaction and engagement in the workplace.

The rankings will be announced at an awards ceremony on May 13, 2026, and then published in the Indiana Chamber’s BizVoice® magazine after the event.
