Arlington/Roe Promotes Tim Durkin to Business Development Associate Manager

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Arlington/Roe, managing general agent and wholesale insurance broker, announces the promotion of Tim Durkin to Business Development Associate Manager.

In his role as Business Development Associate Manager, Tim serves as a mentor to the Arlington/Roe Sales and Marketing associates new to the insurance industry. He leads the development of skill-building programs, coaching and coordinating training concentration, using various solutions to educate and work to develop associates into insurance professionals.

Tim joined Arlington/Roe in 2023 as a senior business development associate for Illinois. Before joining our team, Tim served as a Midwest territory manager at Corvus Insurance, where he was responsible for regional growth and agency partnerships.

A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Tim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from La Salle University. While completing his studies, he gained early experience in the insurance industry through a role with USLI in the sales enhancement department. Upon graduation, he began working full-time at USLI in the policy issuance department before returning to the sales enhancement team, where he spent five years developing his expertise in sales strategy and client support.

Arlington/Roe Promotes Slusser & Hamilton to Vice President

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Heather Slusser and Andy Hamilton have been promoted to vice presidents at Indiana-based Arlington/Roe, a managing general agency and wholesale insurance broker, according to James A. Roe, president and CEO of the company. Hamilton and Slusser joined Arlington/Roe in 2019 and 2020 respectively.

Heather was named Vice President, Human Resources. She joined Arlington/Roe in 2019 as a Human Resources Business Partner. She began her HR career in 2014 and her prior experience includes HR at State Farm. Heather is a member of both the national Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) organization and of SHRM’s Central Indiana Chapter. She is a graduate of Indiana University, Fort Wayne as well as Chapman Institute’s wellness certification program.

Andy was named Vice President, Transportation. Andy began his Arlington/Roe career in 2020 as the Transportation Manager. He had most recently served as a branch manager at the Ohio office of a large managing general agency and surplus lines broker, and he has a wide variety of experience on the company, agency and E&S sides. He was responsible for all production in several states, and he led a team whose majority of premium was in transportation business. Before moving to Columbus in 2017, Andy was the sales and agency relations manager for the same MGA and surplus broker in Indiana and Ohio. He also has experience as a territory manager in Indiana with Liberty Mutual/Safeco and as a risk management consultant with one of our agent partners, Henriott Group. He holds a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation.
